or Shann to us... This cute little girl signed her name on our "Save The Date" reply card. Shann (as a flower girl) together with her parents Ronie & Minat (as our Veil Sponsors) will be part of the wedding entourage.

Soon Shann you will no longer call me Tito Ryan instead Daddy Ryan na hahahaha same with your ninang, Mommy Ching.

its BLACK and WHITE... :) (in my dreams) ok..im just kidding..

anybody who knew me since time immemorial knows that im a black and white person..im not rockista..nor a follower of an eccentric propaganda group or whatever..i just love the "no color" colors that ranges from white to black..i find black sophisticated..shushal ang dating..i find white safe..it can go with anything..plus the fact that the world is always a battle of good and evil..that i have my bad side and good side..like you care right? hehehe..ok..ryan won't have it..the old folks will not hear any of it..the superstitious boys here in the office says "NOOOOO!!!!"..ok fine..

since i like seeing pipol in pink..fenk it is..and HOT PINK! im not the one who will be wearing it anyway..groom-to-be has to make a say and he wants light green..so para shushal and hard to spell..i decided of TORQUOISE..

the venue update..

remember my last post? we were really praying for makati park and gardens and when you pray and believe..God answers.. :)

ryan was bugging tatay amado for a couple of days already..hehehe..so tatay amado called the office of mr. makati park yesterday morning with ryan around..he was on birthday leave by the way..and tatay talked to the secretary and ryan said he is so lakas to them..good for us! he told ryan to call by 10:30 so he can personally talk to mr. makati park (i still don't know the name..sorry..it's ryan project kasi)..so mr. birthday boy called mr. makati park and was told that the date and time and place are already ours..all together now..weeeeehhhhhhhh!!!!

though we have to wait for october pa for us to pay..we can't pay in advance because of OR concerns..but it's enough to make me do my happy dance.. :)

the wedding theme..

its Vintage/Backyard!!! :)

we decided to have an old feel and look for our big day..think about black and white movies and manila during the 50s..i want to have the atmosphere of my childhood that's why some backyard stuffs might pop up somewhere..i cant bring manila to escalante so ill just bring escalante to manila (including some pips)..hehehe..thats why im praying and planning for a garden ceremony..maybe when i hear the chirps of the birds, the soft breeze of the wind on the trees it will convince me im home..:)

ill be doing many Do-It-Yourself (DIY) things..so ill have my hands full for the following days and holidays..im halfway done with our Save-The-Dates..hopefully we can released it by 27th.

even before the formal engagement..even before the ring and the surprises and can i add the storms? we already have our preferred date of matrimony..well, im the one who is super sold out of the date..im so faithful that im kibir if that will be a work or no work day.. i have it in my heart and head that everything will unfold and our journey will end there.. hehehe

ryan was pessimistic about the "holiday" issue but he agreed that IT is the day.. im not supposed to post about the date since nothing is set yet..but it is our faith that we believe that God's love will prevail and no matter what happens.. He will bless our day.. :)

11-22-2010

our big day

February is because it is the love month and number 2..november which is our anniversary month is double 1 so 1+1=2...we love the February weather and we are hoping for an outdoor wedding ceremony so we need the cool air.. :)

22 is our monthsary date..so it is just fitting to have it on a 22nd too.. :) 2+2=4..hoping also that there will be 4 of us in the family..God willing.. :)

2010 is because we can't wait for 2011 anymore..wahahaha..can't think of a better explanation..

the first set of things done..

i want to thank God that He made our first day of wedding preps so encouraging..i was able to talk to Tita Ces early this morning and had our initial discussion on what will be my preferred set up and things that i like and do not like.. good thing she is available on that date!..we will have a sit down talk on the following days to come to discuss the menu and the rest of the package..she said the rate will be so affordable and will be within our budget.. :)

just a background..tita ces is like our fairygodninang..we've known each other at church and gotten closer at the children's ministry..she's the one who prepared the kid's snacks every Sunday and she will be preparing our food on our wedding..nice di ba?

next that had me dancing is our venue..we like a garden wedding ceremony and an indoor reception and the nearest most convenient place that we can afford is the Makati Park and Gardens..and Tita Ces is so near the place..Ryan called earlier also and the reservation for February will be open on the 2nd week of October pa..so that will be a first-come-first-serve reservation/contest.. weeehhh.. afraid!


so here's the catch..Ryan went out for lunch as usual at Nanay Elia's canteen..Nanay is Ryan's landlady..Nanay has Tatay Amado as hubby..then Tatay Amado is Makati City Hall's employee and when Ryan asked Tatay if he knows Mr. So-and-so...the man he talked a while ago for makati park..Tatay answered "ahh sa makati park.."..he is Tatay's friend daw ..yipeee! i bet my two hundred bucks in my wallet that Ryan wants to kiss Tatay Amado..wahahaha..so the story ended with Tatay telling Ryan to inform him when he is going to City Hall so they can talk to Mr. Makati Park.. isn't GOD awesome? say it with me pipol.. AMEN!

my cp alarmed at 6:30 a.m. and on snooze for every 10 minutes..so since its going to wake me again anyway..i made hirit for a couple of minutes more of sleep.. :)

then i woke up not because of the alarm but because of someone..tadaaaaaa.. its ryan..waking me up asking me to marry him..with the ring and flowers..all i can think is that its too early and im so pangeeeettt!!! what will happen to my pictures?!?!?

i was suprised..i was not expecting it to be that early..i thought maybe around noon or during dinner time..hehehe..he managed to surprise me again!

it was a saturday..i had work in the morning..then had to buy flowers for vanessa's debut.. then rush for a dinner date with bunny and dennis and ryan..then a devo/party with the singles.. in short..im ngarag to the highest level..

our story was not the usual love at first sight..it was not friends-turned-sweethearts-overnight either..we hated each other's guts..more so our weaknesses..when or what time or where we finally realized we love each other..our answer will be "huh?! i dont remember".. :)

looking back..we managed to hang around together a lot that im thinking God willed it so we can find each other..
