I wanted a cold weather with full sunshine like in miami, florida kasi on our big day :)

I just want to tell the world that I'm so overwhelmed by gratefulness for all the answered prayers that I got from Daddy God.  This had been my prayer since we started planning..I know i don't have the powers of X-Men Storm in controlling the weather and we are only at the mercy of my Creator but today is a proof that we are loved beyond what we deserved. All together now..AMEN

Bird Cage Veil

i  really like the bird cage veil during weddings..but i also wanted to wear that long veil during ceremony..so i thought of just putting the birdcage like during reception..of course i wanted to do it na naman..this is long before ciara sotto's wedding ha..im not gaya gaya..that's how vintage really looks like..it just happens she wanted to follow me...wahahahah...

ok serious now..here's what it looks like..

i bought 2 big flowers in white and pink and 1 yard of tulle

i used the pink one last prenup pictorial..

i cut a rectangle size of tulle and attached it to the flower

the flower has feathers already so no need to add some more..

this will serve as an instruction to those who are invited..hehehe..you will see this inside the reception area..instead of having some people find your name in a printed excel list, you just have to find the little chair with your name and your table number..now you all know what group you belong right..so go find your name in your group and then take your seat..if you can't find your name then you're not invited.. wahahaha..kidding..

the Wedding Project 5..

our Wedding Cord..

we finished this really fast..thanks to MOAP aka Crissy aka KC..i want our wedding cord to be personalized too..personalan ang gusto ko..hehe..joke! i want to veer away from the usual wedding cord in white..i want ours to have color..then i thought of crissy's jewelry making stuffs..maybe i can ask her help to make my wedding cord colorful..its happiness to have friendships..

joyie, me and ry went to divi to buy the stuffs..joy helped me in picking the big white & pink beads..she's the checker if im picking the nice things.. :) then i made dugtong dugtong the beads using a cross stitch thread..hehehe..the only available in the house because motherhood doesnt like a broken cord like those in jewelry..dapat daw continous..

then i went to crissy to put the heart in the middle and put more accents..

i had fun..its my first time to get into jewelry-making-like thing.. crissy taught me how and she has all those pang kabit na mga wires.. i found small heart shape embellishments too..

the month before the big day..

1 more month to go!!! it seems like its only a week ago when i got engaged and now we are down to one month left..

im starting to feel tense..ok..honestly.. I AM TENSED!

butterflies in the stomach..cold feet..bad dreams..you name it..i feel it..been through it..

added pressure is that i still dont have my and my family's gowns..deadline is next pa naman..

i got our wedding rings today..super happiness..thanks ninong pat! i wanted to post the pics but i think this is one of the things that will have to wait for everyone to see on our big day..im keeping it first..aylaaaaveeet..

our soon to be "home sweet home" is almost done..i love the black granite tiles of our kitchen sink and the big closet in our room that can be moved..ryan will only occupy 1/4 of space and the 3/4 is mine..hehehe..the comfort room is totally his'..im excited to finally see the finished look..it will be in what else..color Black & White..

the Three Groom's Men

These three are the combination of my name and when you look at them you will see me hahaha.  Seriously each one of them is unique.

RJhay is masungit but sweet.
Rhon is serious and masipag.
Ryner is the comic in the family.  He can make everyone laugh.

They are all big now, well two and a half..hehehe.  On my wedding day, they will be at my side as Groom's Men.

the Reception Table Numbers

 my first idea is to have a wine bottle table number..well it would cost me mucho..then i thought of just asking or buy some empty wine bottles..the question is where? then i changed my mind and thought of just having the simplest of all..the usual triangle fold of cardboard..then i thought..really i would just settle for a simple cardstock with print folded into 3? im afraid i would cry if i got to see it on the table and beat myself..so i asked my artistic hormones to unite..

and then i came up with this..

just for side notes: i want to thank my groom-to-be for patiently bearing with me..im bad with directions so its him who memorized the streets and the little nooks that weve been to..he silently walks behind me when i go walking around looking for things i still dont know what..yes that's annoying i know but sometimes ideas just pops when i see things ill be needing..he watches my back all the time and sits in the corner when i go into business with the vendors..giving me a smile and a pat in the back when im done.. :) i made the right choice..

the Wedding Project 3

the Wedding Candles..

i was asking around how many candles we will be needing for the ceremony..some said 3..some said many..i said 5..nagtanong pa ako ano?
i decided its 5..for the Unity Candle (1), for the Candles to be lighted by the Sponsors (2) and for the Candles that we will using to light the Unity Candle (2)..
i went looking first in department stores..and its mahala jackson..in fairness they are pretty and have this really smooth surface and mabango..but i can't make myself buy, my being kuripot kicks in..so off we went looking of course where else..divisoria-kong-mahal!

i was not loving the unity candle design i made the first time so i changed it :)

the Perfect Match

one thing i learned when we started this wedding preparations is that..it's tiring to be ME..because i just won't give up if i wanted something that i can't find in one searching..sometimes it gets frustrating..sometimes im being rewarded for being makulit..and this is one example of it..

we've been to different grocery stores..and everytime i went to look for the right posporo..i find royal..guitar..jose rizal..and others that i don't like..yeah jose rizal is vintage for sure..but i won't have it..and besides..there's not much choice for the size..you can either have the tiny one or the large one..you see i want something in medium.. :)

the only department store left that i haven't been to is rustans..im fervently hoping i can find a match that is syala since rustans is syala all right..thank you Daddy God..the hunt is over..

i bought 3..2 for the big day and an extra "just-in-case"

the Marriage License Filing..

this is take 2 already..the first time we went to Makati City Hall to file..we had a bump..to think about it in a positive way..the 2nd time is the perfect time..

January 7, 2010 - i alarmed my cp at 5:30..we have to be at city hall by 8 because the seminar will start by 8am sharp (daw)..the cp was good..i am bad..hehehe..i sleep again and made hirit ng 10 mins more and woke up panicking at 6:30..ryan will be at the house any minute because we had to leave by 7 am..nagplantsa, naligo, changed bags, ready ng folder, fixed my face..left the house by 7:10..you just imagine how i moved..ryan was able to have breakfast pa while waiting..while i just had 2 pandesal :( kasi naman..

we arrived 7:59..yahooo...

we went there..filled up some forms before going inside the seminar area..

waited for the speakers and did picture taking..there were other couples inside..kibir..:)

for those who are planning..check that out..

they arrived late..:) and after seeing them..no question anymore..hehehe..we all know why..

meet mr. and mrs. ely tamayo..

they did the counselling and we learned a lot from them..who will not..they are 53 years married already with 7 professional kids..wala daw naging adik at pasaway..hehehe

we had fun with them..they look younger than their real age..and still so much in love with each other..they kiss right in front of us after mr. tamayo said sorry to his wife..super sweeeet!

they look young because they have happy marriage they said..though everything was not a bed of roses but they told us happily married till your old is not impossible..

they can say that because they are living proof..and it may not be that simple but nothing is unachievable..

they shared so many stories and insights base on their lives..which i like much and not basing everything in a handbook..they can finish each other's sentences..knows when to stop with a touch of a hand..they are so0o0o0o0o0o0 cute..

one of the things im sure that they are indeed happy is because of this..

when mrs. tamayo counsel's a wife or a mother or a family..the first thing she asks is this..

"nagsisimba ba kayo?" :)

LOVE and PRAYER they said is the most important thing..

the triangle of marriage is always DADDY GOD above, the wife and the husband below

we went home happy..now we know why we didn't make it the first time..
